Nick and his wife, Ellen, have been married for 58 years. Their family has since blossomed with four children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, he attended the University of Missouri-Columbia for one year and Washington University for one semester in the engineering schools before joining the Army. He served in the US Army on active duty for two years and was in reserve status for four more years, stationed in Italy.
Upon returning, he earned his associate’s degree, followed by his bachelor’s in marketing from St. Louis University School of Business. A few years later, Nick received his Masters of Business Administration in Accounting and later received his CPA certificate.
Nick has an extensive resume and decades of experience in accounting. For 19 years, he worked in cost accounting for manufacturing, over 11 years in multiple site service company accounting, and 30 years working with small businesses, often completing clients’ taxes.
Moreover, for the last several decades, Nick has taught college classes, both undergraduate and graduate, for Columbia College and Webster University. He taught various subjects including accounting, finance, and economics. Nick is also an accounting author, with two published books.
For the last 20 years, Nick and Ellen have lived O’Fallon, MO. He is an active member of the O’Fallon Chamber Commerce and served as treasurer of its board of directors for seven years. Furthermore, Nick served as a treasurer for the non-profit organization, Willows Way, for nearly a decade.
Aside from accounting, Nick enjoys reading, movies, and learning. He is inquisitive and social by nature. An ideal weekend for Nick includes visiting a new restaurant or winery with loved ones.
